Freya said goodbye to the frontier town she’d called home for years and forged ahead alone into unsettled lands loaded with her rifle and map. Enduring frigid nights, attacks from frenzied wildlife, and forking trails, she pressed forward, fueled by faith in her destiny.
Many leagues later, Freya first felt the frontier beckoning when her map directed her towards towering buttes and fantastic rock formations unseen by pioneers. When she flagged in energy, Freya would study the elaborate topography or scout freshwater springs flowing nearby to revive herself.
One foggy morning, Freya’s map led her to an astonishing natural fortress concealed in rock. Within its protected walls dwelled a secret forest filled with fruiting trees and fauna abounding. Freya feasted on its abundance, feeling closer than ever to the frontier’s heart. Reenergized, she ventured further westwards as indicated on her map.

They fed her and exchanged fascinating stories of mystical places not indicated on any pioneer’s map. Replenished in body and spirit, Freya finagled further details of her map’s endpoint – a mythic mountain rich in rare minerals and gems. Overwhelmed by fortune’s favor, Freya suddenly felt fearful for greedy pioneers who might follow. So she set protective wards to guard her frontier treasure horde and foster the mountain’s isolated serenity. Her lifelong quest now complete, intrepid Freya occasionally ventured down-mountain to maintain friendly ties with local tribesfolk. But forevermore, her heart remained guarding the dazzling frontier fortress unveiled to her alone.
