Whenever homesickness crept in, Daniel would remind himself his global dream trip was nearly complete. The grand finale for Daniel’s yearlong backpacking adventure was South America. At the lost Incan citadel of Machu Picchu, he was awestruck witnessing dawn’s golden light illuminating the intricate stone architecture.
